Pia Hagen

Coach: MMA & Muay Thai
BJJ Rank: Blue Belt (2023)

Pia was born in Cairns, Australia, with Papua New Guinean and American heritage. She spent her early years living across four continents—including time in the U.S., Ghana, Australia, and the UK—which gave her a diverse upbringing and love for movement from a young age. She began Tae Kwon Do at age three, competed regularly until ten, and developed a lasting passion for martial arts.

After earning a degree in musical theatre from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, Pia worked as a professional actress in both the UK and New York. Her acting credits include campaigns for WWE and FIFA x Champions League, as well as music videos for artists like Central Cee and Jorja Smith.

In 2019, after relocating back to London, Pia began training MMA under Stuart Austin. She made her amateur debut in 2022 and has since competed in boxing, kickboxing, and no-gi grappling—earning a silver medal at No-Gi Europeans at blue belt. She now coaches MMA, Muay Thai, kids' Muay Thai, and our women’s-only Muay Thai class at London Grapple.

Outside of training, Pia lives in Peckham with her greyhound Noel, speaks multiple languages, and still plays several instruments. She’s focused on growing as a competitor across all disciplines and hopes to fight internationally—including on shows like Rizin in Japan.
