Matt Inman

Before joining London Grapple in 2022, Matt was formerly the head instructor and fight team coach at SBG Manchester, a gym that has produced some of the country’s premier MMA talent.

He is widely regarded as one of the top MMA fight coaches in the UK, having trained the likes of 4 x world champion Jack Cartwright (Cage Warriors), Davey Grant (UFC), Saul Rogers (Bellator) and many others.

Matt’s had an extensive career as an athlete.

Holding a 20-11 professional MMA fight record that included winning multiple domestic titles and challenging for the Cage Warriors world title.

Outside of MMA, he fought in professional Muay Thai in Thailand (2005) and spent a year as a professional boxer (2012).

Currently, Matt is one of the most active BJJ competitors globally. With more than 150 matches in 2023, he’s the top-ranked Grappling Industries male competitor worldwide.

He’s a Polaris veteran, 3 x IBJJF European medalist and 1 x British Open champion.
