Aidan Woodhouse
Aidan was born in Albury/Wodonga, Australia. He grew up playing primarily basketball and Australian rules football.
After finishing high school, Aidan left his home town and relocated to Geelong and Torquay where he undertook a double degree in Architecture & Construction Management. Upon completion, Aidan moved to Melbourne where he commenced his post-grad career in commercial construction quantity surveying and project management.
Around this time, sick of the countless impact injuries from Australian rules football, Aidan took up distance running. By late 2016 however, managing some large niggles and losing the passion, he called it quits on his running pursuits.
A few months later, he decided to do something that was the complete opposite of running and try BJJ. He was hooked from day one and sought the best coaches he could, being mentored by Craig Jones and Lachlan Giles up until the award of his blue belt. Shortly after, Aidan and his partner Amy relocated to the UK (2018).
Fast forward to 2023, Aidan is now a Ross Nicholls black belt and one of the owners of London Grapple.
He primarily coaches the early morning and day time classes, as well as looking after the back-end side of the business. As a coach, Aidan enjoys helping our competition athletes train and prepare for upcoming events.
